Raba accompanied Nabo for 18 years.
Anyone who knew her knows that Raba was far more than just a bird. She was a companion, a friend, part of the family – and an integral part of his daily life and his artistic work.
She lived with him in his studio and was always present whilst he worked. Now she is no longer here. And there remains a void that is deeply felt and can scarcely be put into words.
Yet Raba leaves behind countless memories – and traces. She lives on in numerous works, in stories and thoughts. Her death marks the end of an era. Her presence, however, remains. Forever.
A moving article has appeared in the Wiesbadener Kurier today.
Thank you, Birgitta Lamparth, for the sensitive interview and the lovingly written obituary.
