Back in 2017, Nabo began the WOLKENSCHIEBER series of works – two stylized figures pushing the clouds aside with their hands. From the very beginning, the motif was open to a variety of interpretations: as a symbolic act of departure, as a poetic image of inner movement, as an invitation to transformation.
Now, several years and numerous experiences richer, Nabo has taken up the series again – but not as a mere continuation. The new works show a noticeable change in expression. The figures appear more abstract, more open and at the same time more fragile. It is a quiet transformation that has taken place over the years – not planned, but has grown out of an intensive examination of form, people and space.
This development is an expression of a changed artistic language – a language that changes with life’s experiences. Nabo’s view of people, movement and materiality is visible in his current works – especially in the latest glass paintings from the Uferatelier Wiesbaden, which have become much more abstract.
Some of these new works of art are now on display on the website and can be viewed in the Uferatelier. Interested parties are cordially invited to make an appointment to visit the studio or to contact the studio directly.
