Nabo is currently working on a new glass picture. A special component of this work are three koi carp made of glass, which have already been created. They are not yet floating in the picture – they are waiting to be incorporated into the composition as soon as the next steps have been completed.
Nabo is currently preparing a large pane of glass on which the main character is depicted for the next shift: the sandblasting work. To do this, he designs customized templates that are printed using a special laser technique and then applied to the glass. But not everything always goes according to plan – two films have already had to be discarded because the devices did not work together as desired this time and the printing was repeatedly faulty.
Art doesn’t just require an idea, materials and time to realize it… above all, it requires flexibility. Questioning processes, looking for new ways, rethinking – all this is part of everyday creative life in the Uferatelier. Hopefully we will soon be able to inform you about the progress of the painting.
